The Dixie Chicks

Holy crap I LOVE the new Dixie Chicks album. Especially the song “not Ready to Make Nice”. A while ago that would have been my theme song, but I am not mad about anything these days.

Mad or not, I love that song. Emotion practically drips through the speakers.

When Natalie belts out the following line I can feel my heart rise into my throat. It is really raw feeling.

“It’s a sad sad story when a mother would teach her daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger and how in the world can the words that I said send somebody so over the edge that they write me a letter sayin that I better shut up and sing or my life will be over.”

Even if you are not a country music fan, you should still check out this song.

  1. I hadn’t even heard of it, so I bought it off iTunes. I really liked it and Sami and I jammed out down the canyon. Thanks for the suggestion, I’m practically living in the dark ages you know.

  2. Thanks to our lovely President this is the theme our county has taken - if you don’t agree with someone then I guess it is okay to take over their country or beat the living crap out of them or make horrible threats to them - what happened to tolerance?
